Care is part of the service
Your truck-service rate includes your crew, the truck, reusable moving blankets, dollies, standard moving tools and neoprene floor runners. Ordinary furniture disassembly, reassembly and placement are part of the hourly work; the time needed varies by item.
Tell us about stairs, elevators, long walks, parking, extra stops and heavy items before booking. Those details help us plan the right crew and a realistic estimate.
Need packing, help settling in, a donation stop or an out-of-state move? Explore your service options. Out-of-state moves are individually quoted.
What else goes into your estimate?
Travel & preparation
Parma-to-Parma: $50 per move with one truck. Other locations are quoted based on office-to-pickup and final-stop-to-office distance. Two trucks double the travel/preparation fee—not the base hourly rate. Additional movers are charged at the applicable hourly rate. Tolls and parking are separate.
Protection for Your Belongings
Your moving specialist will discuss suitable protection for furniture, mattresses, box springs and TVs, including shrink wrap, protective bags and appropriate boxes.
Materials are charged separately based on what your move needs. We explain the recommended supplies and confirm their cost in your estimate before booking.
You may provide your own suitable materials. Each mattress and box spring needs a separate plastic protective bag. TVs need suitable boxes; original manufacturer boxes are acceptable. Tell us before moving day if you need help arranging protection. Other packing supplies are available separately.
Heavy or specialist items
Items over 300 pounds, pianos, safes, delicate pieces and complex equipment require advance review. Charges and crew needs depend on the item and access. Built-in furniture removal and specialist installations are not ordinary moving work.
A simple Parma-to-Parma example
3 hours × $179 = $537
Travel/preparation: $50
Protective materials: confirmed in your estimate
This is an illustration for an eligible two-person, one-truck local move—not a fixed quote. More time, a larger crew, additional supplies, specialty items, tolls or parking change the total. Your estimate is based on your actual move.
From your first question to moving day
1. Tell us what you need
Share your locations, preferred date, belongings and any access concerns. You can use our optional moving planner or speak with us directly.
2. Review your moving plan
Your moving specialist discusses the crew, estimated time, travel/preparation and materials. Ask questions before booking. Your deposit is credited toward your final bill and secures your move date.
3. Walk through, move, settle in
The crew lead reviews the job with you on arrival. Changes to inventory, access or specialty work are discussed before that work proceeds. Payment is due at completion; we accept cash and credit cards.
Questions worth asking before you book
For a move using our truck, time starts when the crew arrives at the loading address and ends when agreed work is complete at the final destination.
Travel between stops is part of the hourly time. The three-hour minimum applies, followed by 30-minute billing increments.
Customer readiness delays, slow or unavailable elevators and other site-access delays remain on the clock. Crew meal breaks are not billed.
Crew- or equipment-caused delays are reviewed by the lead and office for appropriate time credits. Documented deductions are applied after rounding, subject to the three-hour minimum.
Ordinary stairs and standard furniture assembly do not carry a separate task fee, but they take time. Stairs, elevators or substantial disassembly require at least three movers unless the office preapproves an exception. Complex gym equipment and specialty items need a separate review.
Eligible seniors, veterans, active-duty military, firefighters, police officers, paramedics and teachers receive 10% off moving services for eligible full-service and labor-only moves. Packing, travel and preparation, materials, specialty charges, tolls and parking are excluded.
Mention your eligibility before booking and present qualifying identification. Read our thank-you and offer details.
For local moves, at least 72 hours’ notice before scheduled arrival qualifies for a full deposit refund on cancellation or free rescheduling. With less than 72 hours’ notice, cancellation or rescheduling forfeits the deposit.
Out-of-state moves have separate booking terms; review your agreement before paying a deposit.
Taking a TV off its existing bracket is part of hourly moving work. Removing the wall bracket is $50 per TV.
Standard remounting is $175 per TV and is scheduled separately; you provide the suitable bracket and required hardware.
Wall patching and cable concealment are not included. Confirm wall construction and TV size with the office; brick, tile and fireplace installations are not standard service.
